The Birth of Special Deliveriez Inc

Katy met her now husband Jason Barcomb who was raised in Naples, Florida. Jason, surrounded by his close knit family turned out to be a perfect match for Katy. Very early in their relationship Katy realized it was evident that a family would grow from this union. While dating, it was natural for Katy and Jason to be out and about always actively involved in commitments and community events that were centered around children and families. In a very short time, Katy and Jason became engaged and started planning for the future. They began to make long-term plans; having children, raising children, growing an immediate as well as their respective families. One of the biggest considerations was planning for a future that would afford Jason and Katy the luxury of Katy being at home with the children they would one day have.

Again, Katy ventured out, still seeking the “fit” that would pave the way for their future. Katy applied for a position at Nanny Poppinz, Inc in Naples in Aug of 2008. In talking with Deneane Maldonado, the owner, Katy was told she had so much more to offer than she originally applied for. Deneane recognized that Katy was going against her own grain by not recognizing her education, her gifts, talents and connections! Deneane hired Katy on the spot as a Marketing Representative and told her that she was destined for bigger things, for being out in the community, meeting and sharing with others while building relationships. Katy has successfully built her presence and is now known as the “face of Nanny Poppinz”. Katy became known in the community in this capacity and since has been asked to do the same for other local businesses! 

In reflecting upon their upcoming marriage, especially on their life once they have children, Jason and Katy decided to venture out on their own and gave birth to two businesses that complement one another.   more >>
