Bio of Katy, Owner of Special DeliveriezGrowing up in the small town of Tipp City, Ohio, Katy had all the advantages and exposure she needed to prepare her for the life and person she was destined to become. Surrounded by a large, loving, family, Katy learned how to love, respect, value and recognize the importance of family simply through her everyday life and interactions. What Katy didn’t know early in her journey was she would have to go full circle and experience many different paths for her to fulfill her dreams.

Katy began her college education majoring in Marketing at Wright State University twenty minutes from her home town, although living on campus and seeking her independence, Katy returned home on the weekends to be with family. When Katy recognized the opportunity for continued growth, she went off to TN and studied as a business major with a focus in Marketing at University of Tennessee. It was here that Katy began to truly feel her independence and branched out into greater levels of networking, forging relationships, becoming active in the community and coordinating activities/events for the University. After three years of successfully studying and building a healthy network of friends and colleagues, Katy still felt the need to further spread her wings and really do something that would be more satisfying, more of what she knew best. It was then that Katy decided to return home and begin her formal education in Early Childhood Education.

Katy’s decision to return home and attend the University of Dayton led her onto a path that was directly in line with the values of home and family life. Naturally dedicated to children and families, it was no surprise that Katy switched her major from Marketing and began her focus on Early Childhood Education. Her mission was to provide a service of value and each assignment that Katy accepted was clearly a reflection of her dedication to the empowerment of children.  more >>
